14 February Thursday 2019 dramas:
Well, these three dramas are the stars of
the week! With its last episode, Koi Chand Rakh leaves us with what I thought
was a perfect and unique ending. Aangan and Baba Jani however still are going
strong, so even though from now on our Thursdays will sorely miss Koi Chand
Rakh, the other two dramas are sure to keep us entertained.
Koi Chand Rakh (ARY) IDream Productions
The ending that was given to this drama is
probably one of the most well-thought out endings of dramas we have seen. Zain
sees the error of his ways finally and tells Nishaal that he wanted Rabail and
his daughter back in his life. But when he goes to Rabail to ask for
forgiveness, Rabail chooses to get rid of this toxicity in her life and does
not forgive him. Instead, she finally gives Umair a yes and they get together
happily. It was the justice that Zain needed because now instead of running
after the guy for happiness, Rabail focuses on herself and we thought this was
a very good direction the show took. Ayeza Khan and Imran Abbas deserve
applause for having kept this drama the hottest of all for so long and becoming
the staple drama of all households during its airing time. While the writing
had something lacking, the leading actors more than made up for it and we
thoroughly enjoyed watching this drama! We can’t wait to see what drama takes
its place and if it will live up to Koi Chand Rakh’s level.
Aangan (Hum Tv) MD Productions
This time, we finally got to see
progression in the lives of these families in the form of rising tension.
Safdar confirms the fact that he would not be returning to Mazhar’s house,
which puts a damper not just on Tehmina who loved him but also Alia who treated
him like an older brother. It was a very heartbreaking scene to see the two
sisters deal with his absence in different ways. But Safdar’s absence does not
stop Jamil’s mother from sending his proposal for Tehmina. Jamil does not
protest against this decision, but obviously Chammi is shattered as she
realizes her love for him had been two-sided. Yet she puts on a brave face and
writes a letter for the proposal. Sajal Aly continues to prove time and again
her versatility as an actor and her brilliant performance as Chammi is the
highlight of the drama every time. Ahad Raza Mir was also another wonderful
aspect of this episode. Mawra Hocane as Alia also fits into her role perfectly
and we really do want to see more of her character develop as we go on.
Baba Jani (Geo Tv) Connect Studios
This episode was surprisingly not as up to
par as usual episodes. While the plot develops more as we find out the
mysterious man calling Mehwish is actually her husband and he continues
contacting her and wanting to meet her in private. Mehwish hides this from
Asfand and his family but obviously this will backfire as we already predicted.
Nimra continues to meet Umair but this time the secret is out; first Mehwish
finds out and warns her that people talk about such things negatively and then
Asfand also finds out and breaches the topic with Nimra, upon which the episode
ended. But this episode seemed so banal that it seems the writers are
introducing extra characters that really serve no purpose. Mehwish’s ex husband
and the entire plotline that will follow is not something that exactly helps
the story move forward at all.
Koi Chand Rakh had an excellent end that had us all tearing up, we give this win to Koi Chand Rakh! It was a rollercoaster ride while it lasted, with many ups and downs. But in the end, it was one of the most popular and well-liked dramas till the very end and had everyone talking, which is very rare for a drama. We hope whichever drama follows lives up to Koi Chand Rakh’s hype and Aangan and Baba Jani also continue their excellent quality.
