The director claimed in a recent interview to mid-day that he stepped down due to the creative differences with the producers. Director seemed unhappy with the decision of revealing the first look of the film without taking him on board. Director said, “How could they release the first look of my film without discussing it with me? As a director, that hurt me the most. There was no communication from their end. It made me feel like a fool, as if I [deserve] no respect and am not important at all. All I wanted was that they keep me updated rather than keep me in a blindspot”
Raghava had directed the original Tamil film. He stated that he has no issues with the actor. He said that despite the current issue with producers he has given his script to them due to the dedication of Akshay Kumar. The film releases cinemas worldwide on 5th June.
