Daniel Craig will be stepping down as James Bond after the latest Bond film, No Time to Die, which is slated for release in April. No Time To Die will be the twenty-fifth in the franchise. However the Bond franchise will go on. There has been a lot of debate on who will be essaying the iconic role of James Bond next!
People have also been suggesting that perhaps now a female can be the next Bond. However, the producer of the show, Barbara Broccoli put all speculations to rest when she told Variety that Bond will never be essayed by a female.
“He can be of any colour, but he is male,” said Broccoli, a producer of the film alongside Michael G. Wilson.
The producer said she believes in creating strong female characters, but added: “I’m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that.”
The Bond franchise is one of the movie world’s most lucrative and cherished franchise in the world and it has registered massive numbers in the worldwide Boxoffice over the years.
