The flamboyant fashion, the good and the ugly it is all being revealed in the colorful, extravagant and energetic biopic Rocketman!

There have been quite a few biopics on renowned musicians, Oscar nominated Bohemia Rhapsody being the most recent one that highlighted the journey of Freddie Mercury and his band Queen. It is always heartening to watch such films and see another side of the lives of these stars, their struggles that they had to go through to reach that level of triumph!

Recently the trailer of Elton John biopic Rocketman dropped and we got a chance to get a sneak peek of Elton John’s younger years. The biopic is titled after one of his songs. Taron Egerton is essaying the role of the music legend, and Richard Madden play his deceased manager John Reid. Actress Bryce Dallas Howard plays Elton’s mother, Sheila Farebrother.

Elton John is known for his flamboyant fashion statements and Rocketman is the true reflection of just that. Although the trailer had snippets of the films, it is full of colors and energy. It is extravagant and over the top as it should be in case of Elton John.

The musician gave the producers permission to reflect the life as they see fit. The makers didn’t seem to hold back. The film reveals it all, his journey from Reginald Dewt to stardom, his addiction, his relationship with Bernie Taupin(played by Jamie Bell) and his difficulties of being a homosexual superstar in 70s.

The makers have gone to massive lengths to show the true essence of the musician’s journey. What stands out the most is the fact how well Taron has owned the role, he is truly Elton in the film. The Kingsman star has sung all the songs himself in the movie. The 2 minutes 35 seconds trailer really pulls you into the movie and convinces its audience that this one is a must watch. The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher and is slated to release 31 May 2019.
