Sunday Drama Guide: Romeo Weds Heer VS Tajdeed e Wafa

3rd February Sunday 2019 dramas

Last night’s episodes of Romeo Weds Heer and Tajdeed e Wafa were really exciting to watch and we can’t wait to talk about them. Romeo Weds Heer really amped up the quality of its storytelling, whereas Tajdeed e Wafa focused more on developing certain plotlines. Nevertheless, both dramas impressed us with their wide range of talent.

Romeo Weds Heer (Geo Tv) 7th Sky Entertainment

The clash between Romeo and Heer’s families continues as Romeo attempts to placate Heer’s family by sending gifts supposedly from his parents. A very sweet moment occurs between Romeo and his father as his father opens up to him about his past and encourages him to follow his heart. As always, it was a fun and lighthearted episode, exactly what we have come to expect of Romeo Weds Heer. The conversation between Romeo and his father was especially a nice change in pace as we got to see a more emotional side to the doctor that didn’t include any silly antics. But the drama stayed true to its roots and amidst all the rather serious events, included the same bits and jokes. Romeo Weds Heer has become something we truly rely on for a nice end to our Sundays and while many times the jokes get repetitive, the drama makes sure to introduce some new comedic aspects to revamp their drama.

Tajdeed e Wafa (Hum Tv) MD Productions

This episode of Tajdeed e Wafa was probably the saddest one for me. As per usual, Asher visits Neha and talks to her, still stuck in his own sorrow as his children become more defiant of their father. Hareem is the one who steps in for the sake of these children, meeting up with them after school, picking and dropping them and generally filling in the role of the mother they had lost. Hareem’s father sends her mother divorce papers which causes a lot of emotional turmoil in their family. And Arsal becomes closer to Wareesha and begins to fall in love with her. But the aspect that made this episode the saddest was the slow development of dementia in Arsal’s mother and how Arsal’s father slowly realizes that his wife was losing her sanity. This was shown in small things initially, as Arsal’s father realizes that it wasn’t the children who had been hiding the TV remotes but his own wife who had been placing these items in random places and forgetting about them. He hides this fact from Asher initially, but does take his wife to the doctor and starts taking care of her unlike before. While the rest of the plot devices were the same as before, this particular event really made the episode melancholic and enjoyable to watch.

Verdict

Although the development of mental illness in Arsal’s mother was a good introduction, it doesn’t change the fact that every other aspect of the drama has gotten drenched up and exhausted at this point. So our suggestion would be to stick to Romeo Weds Heer; it is fun and easy to watch, and is currently the most popular comedy drama on air.
