17th February Sunday 2019 dramas:

Our favorite day of the week is here and with it Romeo Weds Heer and Tajdeed e Wafa also return with more episodes! It is an easier choice than on other days since we only have two prominent dramas for now, but even then the vastly different genres of Tajdeed e Wafa and Romeo Weds Heer make the decision slightly more complicated. So let’s jump right into it and see which of these dramas won this week!

Tajdeed e Wafa (Hum Tv) MD Productions:

Arsal discovers his mother’s illness this episode from his father after he returns to visit them and instead finds the medical reports stating his mother is suffering from Alzheimer’s. It was a very sad moment in his life, increased even more when he visits Neha with Asher and sees his life spiraling out of control. Arsal’s strength is really being tested more than any other character, as these are all people very close to him. Asher starts to trust Hareem more with his children and agrees to let them meet with her, and that is the only positive note this entire episode. The ending really seals the deal when the doctor urges Asher that it is time to let go of Neha as her chances of recovery from her coma are pretty slim. We begin to see that Asher might have to make a choice that won’t be liked by his other family members. With all these tragedies, we can only hope the drama is inching closer to an end and you can clearly see that the ideas have been exhausted. Such brilliant actors are starring in this drama but for some reason it just does not stand out to us any longer.

Romeo Weds Heer (Geo Tv) 7th Sky Entertainment:

This was a very sweet episode! The night before their wedding, Romeo realizes this is their last day of freedom and goes to Heer’s house in the middle of the night. With help from her sister, Heer sneaks out and the two of them go to their university where everything began. A very heartfelt montage of how they met and all the moments they spent together is shown, interrupted when a supposed “ghost” tries to lock them inside a classroom. The next day as Romeo makes preparations for the wedding, Faryal starts calling him and begging him to meet with her last time. To placate her, he agrees to go to her place and finds pictures of himself all over the house, and realizes Faryal might be crazy. This was an interesting development that is surely to be a big part of how Romeo and Heer’s relationship develops. Disappointingly, this episode was not as lighthearted as others and only focused on Romeo and Heer’s relationship. By some point it got repetitive as we have seen those scenes many times already. But the drama is still going strong in our opinion, and Sana Javed and Feroze Khan have amazing chemistry together that makes every scene with them worth watching!

This one goes to Romeo Weds Heer once again! Still going strong with ratings and public interest, the drama has surprised everyone and has won many hearts along the way as well. Its success should be attributed not just to the leading actors who are extremely talented no doubt, but also to the talented crew putting it all together. While Tajdeed e Wafa has an equally excellent cast and crew, it is only the writing that is weak and dragged. So in the end Romeo Weds Heer is the one for us!
