We previously reported that Shahrukh Khan was gearing up for his next film titled Saare Jahan Se Accha. The shoot of the film was preponed and the makers were on the lookout for a female lead. The film was scheduled to hit the floors in February!

However as Farhan Akthar announced an upcoming project on the trailer launch of Gully Boy, everyone rumored it be a collaboration with Shahrukh Khan for Don 3. Farhan had previously confirmed that there will be a third installment to Don therefore everyone has already been awaiting the official announcement.

Shahrukh Khan has now opted out of Saare Jahan Se Accha as reported by DNA. While he did not give any reason for doing so, it appears that Shahrukh Khan wants to play safe now. After testing waters and experimenting with Zero and Jab Harry met Sejal, it appears that Shahrukh Khan does not want to take any more risks.

King Khan is determined to give a hit this time. Previously Zero failed miserably at the boxoffice in India while it also performed badly in Pakistan. Shahrukh Khan’s previous films Jab Harry Met Sejal and Dilwale also failed to do well at the boxoffice in India.

On the other hand, Shahrukh Khan has been adored as Don. Both the previous installments of Don were hits. Don 3 is anticipated to be a foolproof recipe for success.

Zero’s debacle garnered Shahrukh a lot of criticism, and some even said that Shahrukh Khan is over. Nevertheless, the superstar jumped back right on his feet.

An official announcement for the making of Don 3 is still awaited. Some other celeb names, including Ranveer Singh’s name have made headlines as the possible lead actor in Don 3. However, it appears that Shahrukh Khan will be taking over.
