The ace director/actor Sarmad Khoosat is receiving praises all over for the trailer of his upcoming film “Zindagi Tamsha”. Khoosat made his silver screen directorial debut with 2015’s Manto. The film garnered critical acclaim, and massive love and respect from industry and fans of Khoosat’s work. This time around he seems be coming with a thought provoking film!
Sarmad Khoosat’s Zindagi Tamasha Censored & Set to Release!
Zindagi Tamasha stars Arif Hussain, Samiya Mumtaz Eman Suleman and Ali Kureshi in pivotal roles. The film is said to be “an intimate portrait of a family as well as a scorching political commentary on little gods on this earth who police our private passions.”
Sarmad while talking to Epk had revealed that the Urdu/Punjabi film will be screening at an international film festival prior to its theatrical release in Pakistan. The film is heading to South Korea for Busan International Film Festival.
The good news is that film has also been nominated for Kim Jiseok Award ahead of its screening. The award is reportedly given to two out of ‘approximately ten world premieres’ selected from Asian Cinema section. The film will be screening from 6-8 October at the festival. As for Pakistan, Zindagi Tamasha will be distributed by IMGC, however no confirmed release date has been announced as yet!
