This episode was an absolute delight to watch and featured what I thought was some of the most powerful dialogues and scenes. Faiza Iftikhar has taken each character, no matter how mundane, and made them larger than life and beloved to the audience. Noori goes back to her former self this episode and makes sure to let Sahir know what she was capable of. We finally see Noori try to help Bhola and be kind to him, and Fehmida also begins to treat Noori differently. The three are finally reconciled with each other but it is yet to be seen how Sahir and Nusrat will react next episode.
Starting with what I loved the best, the writing in this episode stood out more than others and I fell in love with some of the lines uttered by the actors. My favorite scenes of all were the ones with Mumtaz Begum, and many of the things Mumtaz Begum said had so much depth and impact and really resonated with the audience.
Other scenes that stood out in terms of writing were the exchange between Noori and Sahir, which really showed the difference Noori’s heart has undergone in this time period. Faiza Iftikhar’s words are so unique and distinct that we have fallen in love with them and she pens down some of the most powerful scenes to date!
Kashif Nisar’s direction and all the talented actors worked really hard on this episode and it shows in the result! A lot of the scenes are very immersive and well-shot, and nothing is done lazily or half-heartedly. Alongside that, Iqra Aziz had a stand-out performance this time with Noori saying some of the most powerful lines in the episode. Iqra Aziz has really done justice to this character and I don’t think any other actress could even come close to her brilliant portrayal. And of course, we can’t about the acting without mentioning the ingenuity of Imran Ashraf who by this point has achieved the highest degree of praise from everyone! Other actors such as Syed Jibran, Asma Abbas and Kashif Mehmood have given such life to their characters and also deserve to be lauded for what I believe is an award-worthy performance.
Majority of the audience are surely glad with the direction the story is heading towards, but danger for Bhola, Noori and Fehmida is not yet over. By telling Nusrat to move out, Fehmida might have triggered him into doing something even more horrible next episode and Sahir will also seek revenge for Noori’s betrayal. With how attached I have become with these characters, I really hope none of them are harmed but perhaps for plot purposes, the writer might go down that road.
Regardless, I’m really glad with the way the characters’ development has panned out and where Noori has ended. Every episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is more surprising and better than the last, and it is all due to the hard work of the talented cast and crew.
