This week’s episode depicted a major shift in the characters as well as the direction the story intends on taking from here on out, and I must say these changes spell out a completely route from here on out. As always, Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf were outstanding in their roles; we really can’t imagine anyone else playing Noori and Bhola with such dedication!

Watch: Drama Preview: Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, Will Noori Get Divorce From Bhola?

Iqra Aziz shone this time round specially due to how much Noori changes and reveals more nuanced aspects of her personality here, which the actress depicted really well through her body language and facial expressions.

Starting with the direction the story has now taken, it seems that Noori’s struggle between being grateful to Fehmida and all she has given to Noori, and her wish to be free with Sahir has a clear winner when she begins to be more on Sahir’s side. However, the latter character as always remains shadowy and mysterious as ever. He never explicitly reveals his true intentions and even the few times he expresses his love to Noori seems shady.

At first I thought Sahir’s character would work best as the unintended villain of the drama, who meant well but ruined Noori’s life without meaning to. But perhaps the way Sahir is slowly revealing to have intentions of gaining Bhola’s wealth is a much better turn for the story than what I originally anticipated.

He’s definitely the least developed of the characters and a disappointment since most characters, even minor ones, have clear intent and purpose with a history of why they are acting in a certain manner. But once again, Faiza Iftikhar’s ingenuity must be trusted, as all of her character serve some purpose.

After the success of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, director to make Web Series

This episode, and in fact every episode, cannot be discussed without talking about Bhola and Imran Ashraf outdoing himself each time. This time, his confession to Noori that he would die if she left him was a heartwarming scene as well as melancholic since now Noori has become hardened to her husband’s pleas.

His begging and crying are always able to make the audience cry, and I honestly think not one scene with Imran Ashraf is the same as the other. He makes every scene with Bhola so different, even though on paper it might seem the same. By giving such vibrancy and life to Bhola, Imran Ashraf has made us fall in love with his acting every week!

On the other hand, Iqra Aziz’s acting is much more subtle and soft since the role demands that. One of my favorite things about Noori as a character is how flawed she is which makes her the most relatable and real person in the drama.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’s Bhola & Noori are winning hearts

Kashif Nisar’s directing manages to capture the beauty of each of her smaller actions that speak volumes, and the way the theme music plays in consequential scenes and dialogues gives all the more meaning to everything. With such an excellent team and cast working on it, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has got everything covered!

This episode, like every single episode since the start of this drama, has remained unique yet structured delicately around the script. The pacing is perfect; the only complaint we have is that we have to wait so long for the next episode! The next episode will hopefully show Noori reconsidering her decision to run away with Sahir and find out the truth about Bhola’s medicine finally!
