A bittersweet last episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi aired last night and suffice to say, I am really sad to see it end so soon. Just as everything else in the drama had been so well thought out and planned, the ending reflected that very thoughtfulness as well with a conclusion that wrapped everything up neatly. Each negative character was finally dealt with as Sahir and Nusrat’s wrongdoings came out in the open, and Noori and Bhola got to live their lives pleasantly and happily together.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi deserves all of the awards of this season!

In the end, Noori and Bhola through the talented Imran Ashraf and Iqra Aziz have left a lasting impact on our lives and will go down with some of the most memorable characters in a drama.

Since the ending tied up all loose ends and provided a much needed cathartic moment to both the characters and us, I felt this was the perfect ending overall. Most dramas end with something negative, like someone dying or someone going mad, but Ranjha Ranjha Kardi continues to prove that it isn’t like other dramas. It would have honestly been a disrespect to the characters themselves if someone as clichéd as the villains dying would have happened.

Nowadays, a happy ending is so rare! But that doesn’t mean the happy ending that we did get was lukewarm. The writer once again made something beautiful out of something banal as the ending depicted Noori and Bhola together and happy, hinting at a possible recovery for the future. After all, nothing in the drama has ever been black-and-white, and so by showing an open ending, the realism of the drama is highlighted even more.

Suno Chanda 2 Ep 26 : Jiya Went Too Far To Avenge Arsal

The entire time reviewing the drama, I have been impressed by the cast and even now till the very end, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’s cast and crew have occupied the same special place in the hearts of the audience. The leading stars Imran Ashraf and Iqra Aziz have really shown the advent of a new standard being set for Pakistani actors and actresses, where their hard work and talent is reflected in the effort they put into their roles. Truly, Bhola and Noori could not have been this memorable if they had been played by some other lazy actors.

We can’t wait to see these two in future dramas specially now that they have become our favorites! The supporting cast was also the reason why this drama even sustained its audience, with Asma Abbas, Zaib Rehman, Syed Jibran, Ammara Butt, Kashif Mehmood and the many more who occupied lesser roles, who all worked so hard on their characters that each was distinguishable and unique in their own right. It can be said with certainty that no other drama has ever had such a cast where there is not a single weak link!

From the directing of Kashif Nisar who has such a unique perspective to the sets, the music, the lighting…everything about Ranjha Ranjha Kardi had made me so attached to this drama and I will definitely be watching it from the start! Needless to say, this had remained on top of our list of favorites for a reason and seeing it go is a sad moment indeed. No drama can fill its shoes, but we’ll be on the look-out for another drama that could replace Ranjha Ranjha Kardi!
