The lyrics are in keeping with the spiritual angle of the drama. Momina Musteshan has managed to give us something very different with her first drama OST. The vocals are mesmerizing, indulging and the song has a repeat value.

The video is also a visual treat further establishing the grand production scale. The video also maintains a good flow and unlike many OSTs that start repeating scenes in the OST video, there is something new from start to the end. Full score to Haseeb Hassan for the editing and excellent pacing of the video of the OST. Every frame is huge and leaves a mark on you.

Coming towards lyrics, Shuja Haider has done fantastic job with that. Writing a song for a serial like Alif which require gelling spirituality with commercial elements is never easy yet Shuja Haider has done it exceptionally. The lyrics complement the video and so do the dialogues of Umera Ahmed that come in between the OST.

Another commendable thing which we have in fact established from first promo is that every one looks stunning. Be it the boys Hamza and Ahsan Khan, or the lovely ladies Kubra Khan and Sajal Aly. We also got to see the look of Osman Khalid Butt who is doing a cameo in the drama. Our excitement have increased with every promotional content coming our way. All the actors have given intense, killer performances.

The only down side of the OST is this that it has hinted on the story line of the drama. This will be a put off for those who don’t enjoy spoilers and have be dodge all those “what to expect from Alif based on the novel” videos!

The video has to some extent given us an idea of the characters and what the story would be all about. It will be interesting how the story is executed, whether they run the two timelines parallel in a chronological order.
