According to the orders of the court, team of The Legend Of Maula Jatt cannot use title, dialogues, characters, style and music without authorization. The court adjourned till 6th June. Court order also clearly says to suspend the censor certificate of the film’s title if it is illegal/unauthorized.
EPK reached out to multiple neutral lawyers and they stated that court order says unauthorized/illegal use of title, characters, dialogues etc is not allowed. However court has not specified who holds the rights of all those things mentioned in the pray.
EPK also reached out to the lawyers of both the concerned parties. Ahsan Masood, Sarwar Bhatti’s counsel stated that this order of the court clearly states that no one can use the rights of Maula Jatt without authorization.
The Legend Of Maula Jatt is scheduled to release on 4th June while court’s next hearing will be held on 6th June. When we reached out to Ahmed Pansota, the lawyer of The Legend of Maula Jatt and asked him regarding the matter and release of the film, he said
There is no restriction imposed on the makers of The Legend Of Maula Jatt to stop the release of the movie. They are authorized to do so anytime.
