With the weekend approaching everyone is on the look out for fun activities to do. We would like to help you out in our segment “movies this Friday!” If you are thinking of heading out to the movies, here are the latest movies to hit the theaters this weekend.
1. 3 Bahadur: rise of the warriors
The 3 Bahadur saga is very close to our heart as it is the first Pakistani animated film. The film follows the life of three eleven year old who are bestowed with superpowers based on their bravery to stand up for their community. The film is completely in Urdu with English sub-titles. The third movie is said to be the last one and has Dettol Warriors in it as well. This will be a treat for children and a must watch this weekend.
This year has received three Pakistani animations, opening with Allahyar and the legend of Markhor, The Donkey King and the year is closing with 3 Bahadur. This is definitely a step in the right direction and hopefully we will get even more films next year.
2. Spider-man into the spider verse
While we have seen many Spider man movies and cartoons, this is the first ever animated spider man movie with a very different angle. We will get to see a different personality of Spider man as well. The trailer shows Spider man mentoring a kid called Miles who somehow gets super hero powers similar to Spider man. Superheroes from different dimensions will crossover due to some glitch and it is up to them to fix the problem. The movie doesn’t seem to be connected much with the previous movies. In fact the movie seems to bring something different to the table. It has a comical tone to it and seems like a fun watch for children and adults both. Be sure to check it out and leave us your feedback.
Kedarnath is a release one week later than Bollywood release in Pakistan. The movie was picked up late by the distributors. The films debuts the stunning Sara Ali Khan opposite Sushant Rajput. From the looks of it her performance is good as well. The plot of the film seems run of the mill Muslim boy falls for a Hindu girl and will have to beat all odds to be together. The music of the film is soulful and the movie is shot in a picturesque locations. The film is being well received across the border, it will be interesting to see what the film has to offer.
