We previously broke the news that cinemas started to receive a massive response on the mere announcement of the screening of the rave hit drama, Mere Paas Tum Ho. After the advance booking opened for the Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan, Hira Mani and Adnan Siddiqui starrer Mere Paas Tum Ho, the response has been crazy! The advance booking of the drama has left the cinema owners pleasantly surprised.
Mere Paas Tum Ho’s fever is truly at an all time high as people are already rushing to grab their tickets. Anita Kenneth, the general manager of Atrium Cinemas Karachi informed us that they opened 2 shows yet. Their bigger hall has a capacity of 316, out of which only 96 seats are left!
“We sold out 50 % of our seats in only 2 days, so if more demand comes in by the end of the weekend, we will open more shows” she said. “We are anticipating more demand, people are just going crazy about Mere Paas Tum Ho” She added.
Aamir Haider the general manager of Centaurus cinemas from Islamabad said, “There isn’t a tradition of advance booking in Islamabad. We get a good turnover at the last minute. Even then Mere Paas Tum Ho has raked in a good advance booking! We have 25% occupancy so far. We are currently running 2 shows, one at 8 pm and the other at 10 pm. Demand is anticipated to increase, in which case we will increase the number of shows and allocate it more screens.”
“Its astonishing how powerful this drama is that people are willing to pay ticket price for something they can watch for free at homes.” He added.
Talking to Epk, Farhan Javed the GM of universal cinemas revealed, “We received a very good response. It is uncommon to receive such a response on advance bookings in Lahore. However we still have sold out 50% of one of our big halls. We have opened up our Ultra screen too now. We have received this much response in just 2 days.
Considering that there are still 10 days left in the drama’s release, we think the response on the day of its release is going to be as grand as any major film gets on its opening day! We normally get more response from walk in customers on opening days in Lahore and we anticipate the same from Mere Paas Tum Ho.” He said.
In addition, Mere Paas Tum Ho’s advance is also registering remarkable sales in other cities. However it has seen the most response in Karachi! Nadeem Baig’s directorial is all set to release its last episode in cinemas across the country on 25th January! With such a remarkable response being received everywhere, the drama will surely be playing to jam-packed audiences!
