As we get closer to
the end, we are still not sure what the outcome will be for this drama! And
that’s what has made Mere Paas Tum Ho so interesting to watch. This week’s
episode continued exploring the dynamic between Danish and Mehwish as the
latter tries to win back the former and build her marriage back from shambles.
Salman and Ayesha also continue trying to convince Danish to get back together
with Mehwish, and a lot of the conversations this episode revolved around the
idea of marriage, honesty and loyalty. Another interesting aspect that we got
to see this episode was the way Maham was going to treat Shehwar, showing that
her revenge has yet to end.
Humayun Saeed continues to impress us with the way he has made the character of Danish so lovable and favored by most audience members! This episode, he continued to give a brilliant performance and honestly stole the show for us!
Ayeza Khan has also really given her all to Mehwish’s character and confused the audience about her actual intentions, which shows that the actress is truly a talent to be reckoned with. Savera Nadeem was another standout actress and her portrayal of Maham is fresh and new, alongside the extremely brilliant Adnan Siddique. And before we even move on, Shees Sajjad Gul has stolen our hearts with his adorable performance and the young actor has made the drama worth watching just for his cute dialogues and observations!
In terms of this writing, I did feel like this episode could have used a bit more depth or at the very least something to move the story forward. But the pacing is understandable if looked at from the perspective that it will take Danish a long time to get over the trauma that Mehwish put him through. Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has at least made the characters and the story as realistic as possible and a lot of the discussions this episode revolving around the idea of marriage and forgiveness was intriguing to watch.
The character of Rumi and the troubled childhood he is experiencing due to the conflict between his parents as well as watching his mother attempt suicide should also be explored more and we hope to see in the last few episodes that the main characters at least realize what they have put their son through.
The direction of the drama is flawless overall and the one
aspect of the drama that there isn’t anything to complain about! Nadeem Baig
has ensured that every scene is smooth and given the care and attention it
deserves, and each actor no matter how big or small a role they have gets
enough screen time to be able to show their craft. So while the story might be
experiencing a bit of a hitch, the direction always makes up for it by giving
the drama a life of its own!
As the drama nears its conclusion, we really hope to see a solid resolve between the characters in a way that does justice to how entertaining and gripping the drama has been for its running time. After all, a thrilling conclusion can make or break a show! What were your thoughts on this week’s episode of Mere Paas Tum Ho?
