One of the things that becomes a deciding factor for audience to watch a particular serial is the OST that is usually released before the dramas begin to air. Drama makers put special emphasis and effort on the sound track. Today in melodious Monday we will be sharing some of the most soulful OST of the year that you should revisit.

1.Khanni

Khanni rose to fame with its OST’s powerful vocal that were lent by none other than Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the lyrics were written by S.K Khalish & Sahir Ali Bagga and composed by Sahir Ali Bagga. The vocals are so strong that the song will give you goosebumps.

 

 

2. Khasara

Next up we have another OST by maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the drama Khasara that aired in the earlier part of the year. Composed by Soch Band and written by Adnan Dhool, the vocal are complemented with Qawali instruments.

 

 

3. Khamoshi

Khamoshi sung by Bilal Khan featuring Shumaila Hussain, written by Aliya Bukhari and composed by Atif Ali. While the video has clips from the drama, it is mostly shot at the beach with Bilal Khan and Zara Noor Abbas. It is refreshing to watch this as opposed to OSTs where they show numerous clips from the drama and the story line can be easily anticipated.

 

 

4. Koi chand rakh

The OST of Koi chand rakh has been on our radar for some time now. This is again sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, composed by Shani Arshad and written by Sabir Zafar. The drama is currently trending well and stars Ayeza Khan, Muneeb Butt and Imran Abbas.

 

 

5. Dil moom ka diya

Dil moom ka diya is also one of the popular ones that recently concluded. The drama was based on the writer’s novel and presented a highly negative and head strong Ulfat who manages to destroys lives of people around her, however while others manage to recover, it is her who endures the most amount of loss as her incessant ego is crushed. The OST is sung by Adnan Dhool  and  Sanam Marvi, composed by Soch band and written by Adnan Dhool.

 

 

6. Khud Parast

Another highly trending drama that is airing at the moment is Khudparast. The drama centers around the life of a bold and headstrong girl who is up against her mother in law to win her husband over all for herself. The OST is sung and composed by Shani Arshad and writtern by Sabir Zafar. While the song is beautiful the video is disturbing as there is a lot of domestic violence shown.

 

 

7. Ranjha ranjha kardi

The drama is currently airing on HUM TV and narrates a story of a girl that is from an extremely poor family that picks trash to make ends meet. She is very ambitious and wants to change her lifestyle. She meets a mentally disabled man, Bhola played by Imran Ashraf. The drama also stars Syed Jibran in lead. The song is sung by  Rahma Ali Muqaddraan  and Saania, the lyrics and composition is by Sami Khan.

 

 

8. Aangan

Farhan Saeed and Naveed Nashad have added on to the period drama hype with this beautiful sound track. The lyrics are penned down by  Imran Raza and song is composed by Naveed Nashad. Go back in time with this beautiful hymn.

 

 

9. Romeo weds Heer

Singer Sahir Ali Bagga & Aima Baig bring us the uber lively and colorful dance number. This song can easily be added to every dance medley this wedding season.

10.  Bay Dardi

Ahmad Jahanzaib lyrics by Sabir Zafar and composed by Waqar Ali. The drama stars Aiman Khan and Affan Waheed in lead. As Shafay, the lead falls prey to HIV, he soon contaminates his wife too. The sentimental drama revolved around this disease.
