Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is doing fantastic business in North America as the film has grossed $ 211m till now. Starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, Spider-Man: Far From Home is also getting rave reviews from critics.
“The original Sony/Marvel/Spidey deal to co-produce these movies stipulated that if this Spidey cleared a billion, Marvel would get to oversee the third. If it hadn’t, full control would have reverted back to Sony” wrote Richard Rushfield.
So as per this report, if Spider-Man: Far From Home fails to hit $ 1bn globally, Marvel will lose creative rights in the upcoming Spider-Man film.
Well, there is nothing to worry about for Marvel as Spider-Man: Far From Home has already raked in $ 603m till now and it will easily cross $ 1bn before end of its run.
Spider-Man: Far From Home had released in Pakistan on 5th July and it is having a successful run. Far From Home is last film in the Phase 3 of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is a gateway towards 4th Phase of MCU.
