Avengers Endgame is just three weeks away from its worldwide release and film’s advance sales are in full swing in North America. Film is already breaking records of advance ticket sales and it temporarily crashed ticketing websites.
The 4th Avengers will open on 26th April and as per trade in North America, film will open with 200-250m $ opening Weekend. This will make it the 7th film to hit 200m $ mark in it’s opening Weekend in North America. If it manages to hit 250m $ then it will become the second film to hit that mark after Avengers: Infinity War.
Avengers Infinity War currently holds the record of securing the biggest opening Weekend of all time in North America as film had collected 257m $ last year in its opening Weekend.
One can assume that if Infinity War had done 257m $ then Avengers Endgame should cruise past that number easily as Avengers: Endgame has created uncanny buzz. Being the finale to the Avengers saga, Avengers: Endgame has taken North America by storm.
However, there is one big hurdle at the boxoffice for the film. Film’s runtime is over 3 hours making it the longest Marvel film. This makes film almost 30 minutes longer than Avengers Infinity War. This is actually a very long run time and it will definitely restrict film in the terms of number of shows and that might keep the film from breaking all time opening Weekend record of Avengers: Infinity War.
The hugely awaited Avengers: Endgame is all set to hit screens across Pakistan on the same date. The film will face the same hurdle here in Pakistan too. Film will be chasing the opening records of Salman Khan starrer Sultan!
