Disney’s heavy duty online streaming service is launching today i.e. 12 November 2019. The streaming channel will be home to Disney’s existing as well as new films and web-series. The network will be introducing some new webseries with the launch of Disney +. Some of which are based on Disney movies like “Mandalorian” ( which is based on Star Wars franchise). Disney channel series’ reboots like Hilary Duff starrer Lizzie Mcguire are also making their way . Angelina Jolie starrer Eternal is also being made for Disney +, where as the much anticipated sequel Frozen 2 will also be making its way to Disney +.

Disney To Launch Its Own Movies Portal, Pulls Out Of Netflix

There is something for everyone, and Marvel being Disney’s lucrative brand for years will now be one click away. Disney’s latest twitter thread has revealed the list of Marvel movies making it to Disney+ with its launch include:

  1. Iron Man
  2. Iron Man 3
  3. Iron Man 2
  4. Thor: The Dark World
  5. Avengers: Age of Ultron
  6. Ant-Man
  7. Captain Marvel
  8. Thor
  9. Captain America: The First Avenger
  10. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  11. The Avengers
  12. Guardians of the Galaxy
  13. Captain America: Civil War
  14. Doctor Strange
  15. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

The following films will be available once their contract with Netflix expires at the end of that aren’t on the service are those that will remain on Netflix until the end of 2019.

  1. Black Panther
  2. Ant-Man and the Wasp
  3. Avengers: Infinity War
  4. Thor: Ragnarok

Some films are tied up in copyrights issues due to which they will not be making it Disney+. Instances include films like like The Incredible Hulk which is owned by Paramount, or the Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The subscription price at launch of Disney+ will be $6.99 monthly in the US.

When will Disney Plus release in Pakistan?

The streaming portal will be launching in US, Canada and the Netherlands on November 12,2019. It will launch in Australia and New Zealand launching a week later. Besides these, Disney + will be releasing in other major markets within the first two years. There is no confirmation as to when will it be releasing in Pakistan as yet. So far only Netflix and Amazon Prime, are the international streaming portals .
