Mansha Pasha and Ahmed Ali Akbar are gearing up for their upcoming film Laal Kabootar. The film is venturing into a territory that has been left untapped by Pakistani filmmakers. This makes this film one of its kind crime thriller that has Karachi in its back drop.


Following the release of its trailer, the team has released its OST of the film JugArt. The song’s lyrics keep it real, and few seconds into the song we are met with rap sequence. The genre of the song is hip hop to complement the streets/ crime theme of the film.

The vocals are by Taha Malik featuring Jabar Abbas, the lyrics have been penned down by Sabir Zafar, Salman Khattak & Taha Malik . The song takes us through the life of Ahmed’s character’s and his frustrating yet unsuccessful efforts to go to Dubai.

While the lyrics are meaningful, the tone of the song is pretty mellow, and lacks energy. It could have done better without the rap bit in it. We lose interest in the song just a few second in.

The song is more of the sort that could be played in the background while the story progresses. Dedicating separate time and space for the song seems rather unnecessary. But lets see how it plays out in the film.

Kamal Khan’s directorial debut is getting a theatrical release this month on 22nd by Geo Films.
