Game of Thrones season 8 marked the end of an era with the conclusion of one of the most followed, loved and epic series of the decade. While the series had garnered a lot of following over the years, the conclusion has hit the fans very hard.

No Sequel Of Game Of Thrones!

The last season has been met with a lot of criticism by fans who aren’t happy with the way the story ended. Even George R.R.Martin expressed his displeasure with the ending and ensured fans the the books will end in a different way.

While that is a relief, the cast members have reacted to the criticism and obviously they are not very pleased. Earlier an online petition had started to remake the last season. Sophie Turner expressing her offense to the action said in her interview to New Yorker,

” All of these petitions and things like that — I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the film-makers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season. Like 50-something night shoots. So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful.”

Following Sophie, every one’s favorite Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is the latest to comment on the criticism in his interview to Esquire.

“Whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their judgment on it, in my head they can go f**k themselves. Because I know how much work was put into this.”

Realizing his words were a bit harsh he went on to apologize but explained how much this show has meant to him and hence his sentiments.

“A lot of jobs, everyone goes back to their apartments at the end of the day. They have their lives, and they have their families, and they have their girlfriends or boyfriends back home. I think part of what made (GoT) successful was the fact that we got on like a family. Everyone who came in was welcomed into the family.”

Now that the series has concluded there are several prequels in the works. Although the series has left with some unanswered question the makers have confirmed that there will be no sequels to this.
