JPNA 3 is on the cards. Humayun Saeed previously confirmed the making of JPNA 3 while on a cruise with the team of JPNA. With the script of JPNA 3 in the works, one wonders if the film will be able to replicate the performance of its previous installments. The JPNA franchise has definitely become the biggest franchise of Pakistan, being the only film to breach the 50 Cr mark in Pakistan.
Jawani Phir Nahi Ani became the first film in Pakistan’s history to hit the 30 cr mark. It collected 34cr approx back in 2015 which is still the 5th highest grosser of all time till date. Then came the second installment of the brand, which outperformed its first installment. Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 became the first movie to hit the 50cr mark. JPNA 2 has collected 52cr approx at the boxoffice. If the film follows its pattern, then the third part of the franchise is anticipated to outperform its previous part too!
JPNA has truly become a brand in Pakistan. With a stellar cast on board and well directed and executed scenes, the film always does wonders.
With The Legend of Maula Jatt and JPNA 3 on the cards, both of which are hugely acclaimed and anticipated films, the question is which film will be able to break JPNA 2’s records in Pakistan?
JPNA is a tried and tested formula which has been successful in Pakistan. Likewise its third installment is anticipated be a hit. Whereas, The Legend of Maula Jatt has a star studded cast and has managed to impress people with only its trailer however the film’s content will determine if the film can breach the 50 Cr mark or not! So far people definitely think that the Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi starrer will rake in good gains.
This time it will be Fawad Khan VS Humayun Saeed at the boxoffice. While Fawad Khan has been largely absent from the local cinema, Humayun Saeed has been ruling as the boxoffice king. With Fawad Khan’s return after a hiatus, we surely want to know who will create the highest records at the boxoffice!
Similarly, Avengers: Endgame has a devoted fan following and has taken the Pakistani boxoffice by storm. The film has taken an earth shattering start. The film has beaten the 3 years old opening Week records of Salman Khan’s Sultan. Disney’s Endgame created multiple records during its first week in Pakistan. It broke the opening day, opening Weekend and single day records, all of which were previously held by Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial Sultan.
Endgame raked in 23 Cr in its first week! Avengers: Endgame has beaten JPNA 2’s first week. JPNA 2 raked in a little under 21 Cr in its first week.
However, JPNA 2 ended its run with a shinning accumulation of 50 Cr. We are yet to see if Endgame can breach 50 Cr or not. As Ramzan starts from next week, Endgame’s business is anticipated to diminish. Chances are Endgame will not be able to cross 50 Cr and this badge of honor will remain with JPNA 2. Nevertheless, Avengers: Endgame has had its fair share of glory by setting up remarkable opening records for JPNA 3 and The Legend of Maula Jatt to chase.
