A way out is not always a way out and this is what we realized watching episode 11 of Ishq Zahe Naseeb.
Sami Khan starrer Ishq Zahe Naseeb continues to maintain a great pace. The latest episode that aired last night on HUM TV took the plot further. While there was ray of hope for Kashif ( Sami Khan), Gohar (Sonya Hussyn) on the other hand faces yet another conundrum.
Sonya Hussyn did a great job translating Gohar’s conflicted state. Some may think it is the easy way out, but the way I see it she needs to decide whether to get her freedom at the cost of her integrity or not? To be in debt to Sameer (Zahid Ahmed) to get rid of Jehangir (Khalid Malik) is the bargain that is being offered and it is a tough one!
The drama utilizes all its characters very well even those in supporting roles. Every character has a part to play big or small and most are not just fillers. Gohar’s sister in law continues to stuns us with her clever thinking and the latest scheme that she has offered is an interesting one. However we fear this will be followed by a bad reaction from Jehnagir. Here is to hoping we are wrong.
This episode also showed Doniya’s slow transition as well. While Zarnish didn’t have much presence or dialogues in the episode her body language said it all. There is a potential romance we are seeing between Doniya and Kashif in coming episode which will be interesting to see.
One character who remains a mystery and a little unpredictable is Sameer. At some points it seems that he has completely given into his psychological state and can never be free of his split, and then there are hints that he may just be able to do so. Who is he without his split and whether he can even survive without Sameera are some questions that come to mind.
Over all Ishq Zahe Naseeb is a nice break from the run of the mill dramas. Even though one may spot familiar themes like love triangles and stereotypes, it is the story that captivates us and the execution that does it justice.
