Kedarnath is a Bollywood release debuting Sara Ali Khan. The actress has been making headlines for her two new releases, one being Kedarnath and the other Simmba which is also releasing this month. While the new Bollywood diva has been getting a lot of attention, it will be interesting to see if she has truly taken after her father Saif Ali Khan, in terms of acting.
Since the movie released on 7th December in India critics verdicts are in. Lets see how the movie has fared in terms of critics views. Taran Adarsh, one of the most renowned Indian critics had this to say about the movie.
Rajeev Masand said “Kedarnath falls short of its promise but I was happy to visit its world. ” He breaks it down in his video review of Kedarnath. He rated the film 2.5 stars. He praised Sara Ali Khan’s promising performance and compared her to her mother.
Anupama Chopra has also praised Sara’s performance but the film’s plot is stated as mediocre.
Interestingly enough critics have compared the film with Titanic and termed the plot as run of the mill with only Sara’s character as pleasant. The popular rating seems to be 2.5 stars. What is surprising is the fact that the film is still doing well at the box office.
There is a possibility that film will be received well in Pakistan as well. Kedarnath is being distributed by HKC in Pakistan and will be premiering on 14 December 2018.
