First track of much awaited Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan starrer Heer Maan Ja released yesterday. Song was composed by Manj Musik who previously composed Billo Hai for Parchi. Parchi also starred Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan and Billo Hai stands tall as one of the most popular dance number to come out of Pakistani films in recent times.
The first released track of Heer Maan Ja is titled “Addi Maar” and the track is not only composed by the same Billo Hai’s Manj Musik whereas the vocalists are the same too i.e. Sahara UK and Nindy Kaur. With such big names coming together again, the expectations naturally multiplied. Everyone would expect results at the levels of Billo Hai. Before we analyze it, Addi Maar had a surprise package i.e. Zara Sheikh. She is back on big screens after long time.
Billo Hai had emerged as mega success with the song being played at every other wedding and it won’t be wrong if we say that Billo Hai played a pivotal role in the big initials of Parchi at the boxoffice. Here with Heer Maan Ja, makers of Parchi will be facing a big competition in the shape of Parey Hut Love and Superstar and Addi Maar needed to deliver big time for them. Parey Hut Love and Superstar are already star studded films whereas their production costs are much higher compared to Heer Maan Ja and if the later had to compete with those two the music must deliver big.
“Addi Maar” has fun lyrics and the lyrics does have the feel that could make the song a peppy dance number in every wedding. And audio also has the huge appeal, even though audio is not as big as “Billo Hai” but still it is catchy, foot tapping and is hummable. Audio does hold the repeat value and can be a good hit at wedding season. Now lets come towards video, is video as big as audio? Video always leave a huge impact for the cine goers. “Billo Hai” had all the factors in the right place from audio, lyrics to video.
“Addi Maar” doesn’t have a very appealing video as “Billo Hai” but still it has its pluses. Firstly, Zara Sheikh looks stunning and she does have a charisma. Ali Rehman Khan looks good too. Video missed any big dance step which could suit such catchy and foot tapping vocals and tune. Overall, Addi Maar is a good track with having a potential to become a hit especially in the masses and could turn out to be a big wedding song in coming days.
