It has been confirmed by director Satish Kaushik that Salman Khan 2003 starrer Tere Naam is getting a sequel. The film had turned out to be mediocre in terms of Box Office. The film had made an adjusted gross of 67 crore in India.
Although it wasn’t a massive box office blockbuster, it did garner a lot if popularity. Even across the border the film was loved by Salman’s fans. Bollywood films did not screen in cinemas back the, however they were available on DVDs.
The film’s DVDs were sold like hot cakes and was much in demand. Another thing that got immensely popular was Salman’s queer hairstyle that was copied by many fans.
Besides this the film’s music was super hit, it was what gave Himesh Reshammiya his big break. While the sequel has been confirmed, we have yet to get confirmation on whether Salman Khan will be coming back for it or not. If he does then the hype of the movie will increase threefold.
While currently Bollywood movies are banned in Pakistan, lets see what the status of films is, if it releases in Pakistan and Salman Khan is in it then it will be a super hit.
