Humayun Saeed has secured the top position at EPK Power List which means the actor is the most powerful man at the boxoffice right now. He has given back to back record shattering films, which grants him the title of, King.
The acclaimed star became the first actor to hit a 30cr mark at the boxoffice with Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. The film took the boxoffice by a storm back in 2015 by collecting 34 crores from Pakistan alone. The Comedy held the all opening records and lifetime records back then.
Lifetime record of Jawani Phir Nahi Ani stood for two years which were only broken by Humayun Saeed’s next film in 2017. Punjab Nahi Jaungi broke all records despite having a clash with Na Maloom Afraad 2.
This film ran for over 200 days at cinemas and garnered a cult following for its romantic content. The film was loved in all cities. PNJ actually ran riots in Punjab where film did more than the double of its competitor in some cities.
One year later, Humayun was back again. He conquered the boxoffice with a bang. He not only broke the records of Punjab Nahi Jaungi, he established new boxoffice highs.
Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 released alongside two more big films i.e. Parwaaz Hai Junoon and Load Wedding. Even though Parwaaz Hai Junoon emerged a huge hit, Humayun Saeed’s Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 set boxoffice on fire. The film went on to gross 52cr approx making it the first film to hit the 50cr mark at Pakistani Cinema. This film is leading ahead with 15 crores from the Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju which is at second position in Boxoffice ranking of all films in Pakistan.
The superstar gives three films and all three set new benchmarks! This is something that only Humayun Saeed has achieved in Pakistan. In fact no other star has been able to give the highest grosser in Pakistan yet. Humayun Saeed is at the top of the charts for four years in a row.
