After Pakistan Cinema Exhibitors Association imposed a temporary ban on all Indian content at cinemas all the running Indian films were taken off from cinemas on Wednesday. This restricted multiple films to reach new benchmarks at boxoffice.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy was expected to hit 10cr mark over the Weekdays making it first ever February release to hit 10 crores mark. Now ban has stopped film from reaching that mark as film has wrapped around 9.5 crore approx.

Similarly, Binnu Dhillon and Sargun Mehta starrer Punjabi film Kala Shah Kala was going to hit 1.5 crores mark but ban made film wrap little under 1.5cr mark at the boxoffice.

Ranveer Singh starrer cop action film Simmba was having dream run non stop for several weeks. Film continued to run strong despite many new Indian releases. Rohit Shetty directed Simmba would have hit 25 crore mark in Pakistan but now film has fallen well short of that mark due to this ban.

Other Indian films playing at cinemas on limited number of shows were Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero, Manikarnika, Fraud Saiyaan and Punjabi release High End Yaariyaan.
