Game of Thrones is coming to an end this Sunday. The series has been based on the creative works of George R.R.Martin’s books. The writer wasn’t involved with the series however his 6 books provided basis for the story of 6 season.
While the seventh book is in the works, the series is in its eight season. This season has been faced with a lot of criticism and fans specially have been unhappy about how this season has unfolded. In fact there is an online petition going as well requesting a do-over. The last episode is expected to answer all the unanswered questions and reveal who finally gets the Iron Throne?

The series has seen some difference with the books which is pretty common. The author was asked how he felt about this to which he responded in a recent interview :
“Of course you have an emotional reaction. I mean, would I prefer they do it exactly the way I did it? Sure.”
Other than that he also expressed his sentiments on the creative difference:
“It can also be traumatic. Because sometimes their creative vision and your creative vision don’t match, and you get the famous creative differences thing that leads to a lot of conflicts.”
Moreover he also shared his wish that the series should have went on for more seasons in order to faithfully adapt the book.
“The series has been… not completely faithful. Otherwise, it would have to run another five seasons.” He continued, “You know, it’s complex. I’m a little sad, actually. I wish we had a few more seasons.”
