The drama follows the life of four friends from different professions and boasts of a star studded cast, including names such as Ahad Raza Mir, Osman Khalid Butt, Alizeh Shah, Vaneeza Ahmad, Zara Noor Abbas and Wahaj Ali amongst others.

According to Epk’s inside sources, the 26 episode serial is scheduled to wrap up soon with the last four episodes remaining in line. The last two episodes will be combined to release in theaters after a break of one week, following in the footsteps of the blockbuster hit Mere Pass Tum Ho (MPTH).

We hope the team of Ehd-e-Wafa will also record a special show for the prime time slot in the break just like the cast of Mere Pass Tum Ho did.

Although there is no official confirmation on this, our sources have revealed that the Ehd-e-Wafa production team and Hum TV network are discussing the possibility. However, it is not known if this has been put up for a discussion with the ISPR wing.

It is interesting to note that the much-hyped finale of the Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar written play lacked the crisp, solid editing required to maintain viewer attention in a cinema house where the sole focus is on the screen. Rather, it followed the same, loose edit pattern that is appropriate for drama serials watched at home.

If plans materialize, we suggest Ehd-e-Wafa to release a neatly edited and gripping finale that captives audiences who pay to watch it in theaters.

As soon as any final decision is taken on this, we will update our readers!
