Drama Recommendation

Saturday is an eventful day for dramas as we have three superb dramas airing that day. All three are part of our weekly top 5 list as well. Each drama has a different story line and genre and each manages to stand out.

Saboor Aly’s Gul-o-Gulzar A Tale of Rags to Riches

Cheekh (ARY Digital)

This drama never seizes to amaze us, however the latest episode was a tad bit slow as no major development happened. May be the makers wanted the loss to be felt gravely which is why it was the highlight of the episode. The question that remains is whether Mannat will get scared of Wajih and back out or whether this will further motivate her to drag him to jail.

Wajih, Mannat, Nayab and Yawar

Also this act by Wajih is probably going to be a turning point for Yawar as well who has always valued family above all. There is so much that needs to be answered and will surely be answered in upcoming episodes. Lets see what happens next.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi (Hum TV)

The story of this drama has taken a turn and it was certainly unexpected. However the shift is what makes this drama amazing. Now that Noori has seen Sahir for who really is, she knows that she need to do the right thing. This will come as a shock to Sahir and the future of the drama will once again become uncertain.

Suno Chanda 2 (Hum TV)

The comedy serial remains our ultimate favorite owing to light content and amazing characters. The narrative is simple yet extremely engaging. The way all characters are involved is amazing. The original cast and the new addition both have gelled in so well that we have forgotten they weren’t there before. The drama remains consistent in terms of providing quality entertainment and we would definitely recommend it as a must watch.

Suno Chanda 2

All three dramas are worth watching. Even though we usually come up with one winner this time around choosing just one would be hard. In fact we would recommend getting started with Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, followed by Suno Chanda 2 and ending the day with Cheekh. Three hours of sure shot entertainment.
