Chal Mera Putt, an Indian Punjabi comedy starring Pakistani comedians Iftikhar Thakur, Nasir Chinyoti and Akram Udaas released earlier this year in July. Film was extremely well received by audiences as the film turned out to be a huge hit at overseas markets. Overseas Pakistanis played pivotal role in the mega success of the film in the international markets. Owing to mega success of Chal Mera Putt, the makers are now opting for making two sequels of the film.
Talking exclusively to Epk, Iftikhar Thakur who is also the co producer of the film revealed details about the casting, locations and shoot schedule for the sequel!
The shoot for first sequel will start from 12th November and it will wrap by 22nd December and the film will release in February or March. The cast of the film is same as the first one with the inclusion of some new actors. The lead character will be played by Amrinder Gill who was also lead in the first part.
“Moreover the good new is that popular comedian Zafri Khan will be playing my son in the sequel” revealed Iftikhar Thakur.
For the fans of Iftikhar Thakur and Zafri Khan, this will be a must watch combination. The sequels will also feature Rubi Anam as wife of Iftikhar Thakur’s character. The film will be shot in Birmingham, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. The shoot for the third part will start in July-August next year.
The titles of the sequels are not disclosed yet by Iftikhar Thakur but we will be revealing you all know about it in coming days. The cast of the film already was amazing and now with the inclusion of Zafri Khan makes it further lucrative. Keep an eye out on this space for further news on the film.
