Among the new wave of dramas coming in, there are three dramas in particular that have our eyes fixated on. Mere Pass Tum Ho, Alif and Ishq Zahe Naseeb are high on buzz for numerous reasons. The dramas are not only multi-starrer but they all have refined writers and directors as well as great production value.
The Pyrarey Afzal writer Khalil ul Rehman Qamar and director Nadeen Baig have teamed up to again to create magic. Mere Pass Tum Ho has Humayun Saeed , Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddique in the main lead.
Director Nadeem Baig has given Pakistani cinema major hits like Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and Punjab Nahi Jaungi. However he has also been behind some major drama serials as well. Hamza Ali Abbasi’s debut serial Pyrarey Afzal captivated the audience. The story was set in Hyderabad and the sets were beautiful. The story was taken and executed very well.
After this Dil Lagi also became a super hit. The drama was an intense love story which gave off ultimate filmy feel. This is director’s signature style that even his dramas have that filmy touch. The color grading, shots and lighting is vivid, and we get an ultimate drama experience. Same is expected from the upcoming Mere Pass Tum Ho. Those who have seen the promos assure that this one certainly is.
Secondly, Alif is the ace writer Umera Ahmed’s brainchild and it has been taken on by Haseeb Hasan to translate on screen. The Parwaz Ha Junoon director has previously orchestrated exceptional dramas including Man Mayal and Diyar-e-Dil. With Alif, Haseeb is very excited to tell a story of a film maker’s journey for the first time and that too written by Umera Ahmed. The drama stars Sajal Aly , Hamza Ali Abbasi and Kubra Khan in pivotal roles.
The scale of production is big and has been shot in three different locations. With a project so extensive, it is essential that the consistency in the drama remains intact. This where the director comes in. With a director like Haseeb we can expect him to pull it off effortlessly.
Thirdly there is Ishq Zahe Naseeb, unlike the other two this drama came on our radar when its promos were released. The teasers left us in awe and intrigued. There is an air of mystique and an unexplained attraction that draws us towards its narrative. There is mystery at the heart of the narrative it seems, secrets untold and love unfulfilled, and we want to see more.
The characters look very interesting especially Zahid and Yumna’s character pique our interest. The drama has been penned down by Hashim Nadeem who has knitted a complex and deep story that will have us weaved in its plot soon. The drama comes from the vision of director Farooq Rind. We look forward to see what the Gul-e-Rana and Baaghi director has executed with Ishq Zahe Naseeb.
There are scenes in promo where the shots are close up and then those like where Zahid and Yumna take turns in front of the mirror. The camera moves with the actors and as it pans up we are pulled into the scene with its mysterious aura and left stunned. The drama has been shot beautifully and it will certainly be a visually treat.
The story of the drama seems philosophical and complex, which is not every one’s cup of tea. All that remain is how the captain of the ship has translated it on screen and whether it will draw in maximum audience or not? Time will tell.
We have three dramas from three visionary directors clashing, and bringing us exceptional content. Which drama gains the top spot on the rating charts and become most popular will be something interesting to see. The dramas are all extremely anticipated and it will all boil down to the vision of these acclaimed directors.
