Nabeel Qureshi is one of the top-notch film directors of Pakistan who has given multiple hit films. Four films old, Nabeel gave back to back films on every Eid ul Azha from 2016 to 2018. This year we didn’t see release any film from the director however he is returning to silver screens in 2020 with two films.
Sajal & Ahad’s “Ye Dil Mera” Has More Than Meets the Eye!
First one is titled “Quaid e Azam Zindabad” which is an action film on the life story of a cop. Trade is very excited about this film as action certainly a crowd-puller at ticket window. During Eid seasons there is a huge influx of footfall for any movie releasing in general whereas action genre is always front loaded. If Nabeel Qureshi gets it right then this film will be unstoppable at the box office.
Other than genre, Quaid e Azam Zindabad has a highly favorable cast superstars Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan. Both the actors have huge pull at the box office and with both of them coming together, it will be a bonanza at the box office.
Coming towards the content, it has already been announced that Fahad Mustafa will be playing the character of a cop who will be fighting against corruption. Recently we saw Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba which was also on a policeman who fought against corruption. Rohit Shetty had pulled it off perfectly. The film was also released in Pakistan and here the film went on to collect over PKR 210 million becoming the only 7th Hindi film ever to hit 200 million mark in Pakistan.
There are already talks in the trade that Quaid e Azam Zindabad will be on the lines of Simmba, while the makers are terming it along the line of their 2016 film Actor In Law. Fahad Mustafa will be seen fighting the real culprits that corrupt the system. Based on the response of Simmba a cop film in particular, and many other action films in general, it is safe to say that the action genre is highly demanded. This puts Nabeel in perfect position to hit it out of the park. It must be noted here that Simmba had such high octane human emotions that the film gelled with cine goers big time and had fantastic run at box office for weeks before it was taken off due to the ban on Indian films in Pakistan.
Right now Nabeel Qureshi’s cop film is in the ideal position to score big and if the film turns out to be a mass entertainer like Simmba then there will be no stopping to this film.
