Breaking: PEMRA Imposes Ban on All Indian TVCs
Yesterday on 14 August 2019 PEMRA enforced a ban on the airing of all Indian content in form of TVCs. This includes ads that are Indian and being broadcast here, or even those that feature Indian celebrity. The decision came in solidarity with Kashimir conflict and heightened tensions with the neighboring country.

The ban is for all products with Indian characters and Indian advertisements. The press release also specified brands like Dettol, Safeguard, Surf Excel,Sunsilk,Sufi, Fair & Lovely Face wash, Pantene, Fogg body spray, Head & Shoulders and Knorr.

The press release declared that Indian content airing on television go against our policy to show solidarity with Kashmir. This is why the content will be banned now.
