It is a no brainer that the last installment of Avengers will take a bumper start at the box office. The expectations from Avengers Endgame are sky high and the film is all set to shatter records.
Before we start, it must be stated that the opening day record is currently with Bollywood movie Sultan. Sultan’s longstanding opening record has not been broken by any movie in the past 3 years. No movie of Khans, Humayun Saeed, Ali Zafar or even Hollywood biggies like Fast and Furious could break it.
Avengers: Endgame’s advance sales opened three weeks prior to its release in Pakistan. The film’s advance sales have broken record of biggies like Sanju, Sultan and Fast and Furious series.
At almost all major multiplexes the film’s opening day shows are sold out. As per early tracking, the first day will have over 500 shows, which is the most number of shows to be allocated to any movie in Pakistan.
This is a huge number for sure, we will come to know about how many shows are exactly running tomorrow, but right now it is certain that it has more number of shows than Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan. Endgame’s number of shows are even more than the numbers allocated to Eid releases as well.
The capacity for Avengers Endgame on opening day is 5 crore. However it is not possible to get 100% occupancy. Looking at the insane number of shows and record advance sales in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, film has bright chances to hit 3 crore mark on day one. If 3 crore mark is achieved, it will mean film will be breaking opening day record in these three cities.
Opening day record of 3.40 Crore currently resides with Salman Khan starrer Sultan. However, Avengers: Endgame has seen stupendous advance sales and if it also garners support from mass pockets, then Endgame will break this record with ease.
However, the advance booking of the movie is not doing so well in small cities. If the film was releasing in dubbed version here, then the business would have increased even more, as the film will not rake in big numbers from the masses without the dubbed version.
As per our prediction, the film will rake in approximately 3.75 crore on Friday which would make it the biggest opening day for any film in Pakistan, beating Sultan. If mass circuits exceed our expectations then there are outside chances that the film will hit 4 crore mark on day 1 making it the first film to cross 4 crore on its opening day.
