Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame had crushed almost every possible record in North America over its opening Weekend. Disney’s mega opus created new records with huge margins. Film had raked in massive $ 357m over the Weekend in North America.
Previously, Opening Weekend record stood with Avengers: Infinity War at $ 257m. Robert Downet Jr and Chris Evans starrer beat that record with insane lead of $ 100m. No film in North America’s boxoffice history has managed to break the weekend record with this big margin.
After smashing Weekend records, Avengers: Endgame has done remarkably well on Monday too. Film has raked in $ 36.8m on Monday in North America. This takes film’s four days total to $ 394m. Film is all set to hit $ 400m in North America today becoming fastest to $ 400m. Film is also becoming the first film to hit $ 400m mark in opening Week.
Despite crushing multiple records, film missed one record on Monday. In the list of All Time Monday gross, film has fallen at third position. First position is held by Black Panther at $ 40.15m. But Black Panther’s Monday had fallen on a Holiday hence the comparison is little unfair. But at the same time film has fallen short of Star Wars: The Force Awaken on Monday. Star Wars had collected $ 40.1m on Monday.
