Atif Aslam has become an internationally acclaimed artist. He has won over fans from very early on with his soulful voice. It was his unique voice that drew attention of film makers across border. He was signed on as play back singer for numerous Indian films and has been in demand since he first sang for Zehar. Ever since his debut he has never looked back. He has also judged some singing competitions as well.
Despite the love and fan following back home, Atif Aslam has been shying away from Pakistani film makers. He hasn’t been keen on lending his voice to local cinema. This is very unfortunate as Pakistan is his identity and he should be considerate about contributing to the industry.
Renowned singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have also been a huge success in India, however despite the immense fame he still values Pakistani film makers and our drama industry. He has graced us with some of the most mind blowing drama OSTs and tracks of all time. Atif Aslam should learn from his example and collaborate with Pakistani projects more. His fans definitely want that. Well lets hope that we get to hear more tracks by Atif in our upcoming films.
