The talented Yakeen Ka Safar star Ahad Raza Mir has yet another feather in the cap. The actor was recently in Canada doing theater. Ahad had started off his career in Canada with theater before coming to Pakistan where he has established a successful career in a very short time span.
The dapper hero played Hamlet in the Shakespeare adaption of Hamlet:A Ghost Story. The actor has been appreciated for his work during the performance so much so that he has been nominated for The Betty Mitchell Awards for Outstanding Performance By An Actor In a Drama.
This is certainly a wonderful news that has followed shortly after his engagement with the beautiful Sajal Aly. While talking about playing Hamlet to EPK Ahad had revealed:
” Actors often get scared and turn down Hamlet. However, the way I see it, Hamlet is a show that you do to prove yourself, so I instantly said yes to it. I asked them to book my flight and I’ll be on my way.”
Playing Hamlet itself was a huge achievement for the actor in itself as this made him the first brown man to play the role in the vicinity.
“Hamlet has never been played by a Pakistani or a South Asian. We found out that in Canada in a professional production no Pakistani, South Asian or Brown skin person has played Hamlet. So this is a huge thing for us. “
Heartiest congratulations to the hero on this accomplishment and we hope he wins this one.
