Shahrukh Khan’s Zero saw release on 21st of December. The film starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif alongside SRK. The film was highly anticipated and was an ambitious project. Srk essayed the role of a vertically challenged man while Anushka Sharma played the role of a NASA scientist suffering from cerebral palsy. The film was helmed by Aanand L Rai.

The film failed miserably in India while it has also been an under performer in Pakistan. Although it took a decent start here however it is anticipated to wrap up with poor numbers.

Nevertheless, it looks like Shahrukh Khan has quickly moved on and is gearing up to prove his stardom. Although Khan gave a good performance in Zero, the half-baked screenplay of the film failed him. The film met with immense criticism from prominent critics.

His upcoming film is the biopic of Rakesh Sharma as reported in leading Indian websites. The film is called “Saree Jahan Se Acha”.

It has also been reported that Shahrukh Khan is showing eagerness in shooting this film. He has preponed the shoot of the film and does not want to waste any more time. Trade analysts have suggested that Shahrukh Khan wants to quickly divert people’s attention from Zero’s fiasco and emerge as a superstar again? Will his next film really become his saving grace?

It has been reported that perhaps it was the budget of the film which led to the shots being preponed. As its a high budget film, the producer Siddharth Roy Kapur wanted to wrap up the main schedule as early as possible in order to manage their budget.

The film is being directed by Mahesh Mathai and is backed by Sidharth Roy Kapur. The budget of this film is said to be humongous as it is a space film.

The Rakesh Sharma biopic was earlier slated for release in May this year however it has now been preponed and will begin in February at Mumbai’s Film City. The sets are already being set up and work will begin soon!
