Who Won American Idol 2010:Tuesday night had been an exciting show for the American Idol fans. Crystal Bowers ox who is one of the finalist manage to give her strongest performance yet with “Up on a Mountain.” This is indeed a special song as this will be her single if ever that she will win as the next American Idol in the competition.

Up to the mountain was originally made by Patty Griffin and is considered as a contemporary folk song. This kind of song clearly fits Mamas ox because of her angelic kind of voice. It highlights the voice of Crystal Sox as she sang the song while she is sitting on a stool. She managed to play a guitar while singing the song. The gospel and folkie spiritual song was incredibly good for Crystal.

If you will be looking back this is not the first time that the “Up on a Mountain” song was performed in the American Idol. In year 2007, Kelly Clarkson and Jeff Beck also made a performance of the song during the “Idol Gives Back” charity program. It looks like the judges love what Crystal Bowersox showcase in the last night’s show in American Idol.

Ellen DeGeneres commented, “You are in a league of your own. You have a beautiful voice.” While Randy Jackson complemented Crystal Bowers ox by saying, “This is what this show is about. This is an amazing song by an amazing singer. I’m telling you what, I’m so proud of you, man. This is one of the greatest performances and one of your best moments at the perfect time on this show.” When it was the turn of the critic Simon Cowell turn to speak he said that the performance was outstanding.

It was indeed a great night for Crystal Bowers ox. But it was also a close fight that she has with her contender Lee DeWyze who performs his signature version of “The Boxer.” Last night was their last performance before the voting opens for the finale result. Both Crystal and Lee is a good songwriter so we can expect for more of their original material in the coming shows.
