Rohit Shetty has recently given the statement that Deepika
Padukone should get the maximum credit for the success of Chennai Express. He
said that Chennai Express is not a Shahrukh Khan’s film, it is rather of
It has also been reported that back in 2015, Shahrukh Khan and Rohit Shetty had some creative differences during the filming of Dilwale. Their differences even hampered the output of the film.
Is Rohit Shetty still harboring resentment for Shahrukh Khan?
Rohit Shetty is currently enjoying the success of his
film Simmba. Simmba stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan and is currently
ruling at the box office in India. The film has also performed well in Pakistan
whereas Shahrukh Khan’s Zero has been an underperformer.
Shahrukh Khan has since met with a lot of criticism. While
critics were particularly harsh about Zero’s content, some people are even
saying that that Shahrukh Khan is too old now. The actor has been largely criticized.
In a recent interview, Rohit Shetty said,
“For me, Chennai Express wasn’t a Shah Rukh Khan Film, people forget that. For me again, Golmaal 3 wasn’t a Ajay Devgn film, it was a Kareena Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and Mithun Chakraborty film. That’s how we write. Because it’s a commercial film, people don’t go into that theory. With Golmaal 3, I never thought that it was Ajay Devgn’s solo film, it was Kareena, Ratna and Mithun’s film. Same way, Chennai Express was a Deepika Padukone’s film. She got the maximum credit also.”
Well we still absolutely adore Shahrukh Khan! In fact Chennai Express has been one of our favorite movies of Shahrukh Khan. The superstar is an unmatched talented actor who truly has captivating screen presence.
On the work front, Shahrukh Khan is gearing up for his next film, Saare Jahan Se Accha. The film is a biopic of Rakesh Sharma and the shoots of the film have been preponed. The film will hit the floors in February at Mumbai’s Film City.
