Koi chand rakh, kaisa ha naseeban,cheekh

We have entered the digital age with all episode available for streaming at once. There is still a lot of charm of Pakistani dramas airing weekly. Audiences wait for the next episode to see what will happen next. For drama makers the real challenge is to ensure consistency throughout the run. Every now and then it has been witnessed that while some dramas take off very well however soon become a total drag, deviating audience away from the serial. However some dramas manage to keep their audience with them through out.

One such drama that has been able to do that lately has been Koi Chand Rakh. The serial has sky rocketing ratings and massive views on every episode on ARY Digital’s official Youtube channel. Even Khanni famed Feroze Khan’s latest comedy drama Romeo Weds Heer hasn’t been able to beat it.

Another serial that has been making rounds on social media is Kaisa Ha Naseeban. The serial has been applauded for highlighting an issue that is both important and extremely prevalent in our society. The serial has been an eye opener for its daunting lessons about marriages abroad and hasty decisions of parents regarding getting their daughters married without thorough background checks.

Both serials are from the same production house I Dream Entertainment. While the Ramsha Khan and Muneeb Butt starrer has resonated with audiences and has been rating well, this has not been able to cross Koi Chand Rakh either.

As the serial is nearing its end with just two episode left, it can be anticipated that Kaisa Ha Naseeban is a strong contender in terms of leading in ratings. At the moment the plot of the drama is intriguing if it manages to maintain a good momentum it can definitely stay on the radar.

Having said that Saba Qamar’s Cheekh has also become talk of the town which is also airing on ARY Digital. Cheekh took off with a bang with a story full of suspense and amazing star cast . With just five episodes in the drama has been rating exceptionally well.The drama has excellently mapped the suspense regarding what really happened to Nayyab so far. If the plot continues with similar consistency we can expect the ratings to only go further up! Right now it has not come close to Koi Chand Rakh, its story is very captivating and keeps the audience engaged, ensuring that the drama has great potential.

We have devised our own rating metric and as per EPK rating system Koi Chand Rakh is on top by a massive margins. According to previous week’s ratings after Koi Chand Rakh is Cheekh followed by Kaisa Ha Naseeban. With Koi Chand Rakh at it apex, it seems like neither of the two can beat it as it is going very strong and has a dedicated viewership.

As far as popularity and admiration goes, Koi Chand Rakh is checking all the right boxes. So what makes the serial stand apart from all the other latest ones?

The most obvious attraction is the leading lady Ayeza Khan who has massive fan following. She is sharing screen with Imran Abbass. This on screen couple has been been seen together in a few dramas together the most recent being Mohabbat Tum Sy Nafrat ha that aired on Geo TV. Although the content is pretty run of the mill, the dialogues and acting have been hugely admired. Areeba Habib delivers well as a selfish girl in love with Zain.

Rabail on the other hand has also grown over time in the serial. She has gone from being a clueless wife of an unfaithful husband to a strong mother who isn’t afraid of speaking her mind and taking a stand.

The shift of Rabail’s character to a head strong women is something admirable. It seems that audiences have accepted the change in characterization of female protagonist from damsel in distress to strong leading ladies who have the sense to decide what is right for them.
