Ramadan 2010 Begins:In the ninth month of Islamic calendar, in which the first verses of the Koran is said to have been revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, the participation of Muslims to refrain from drinking, eating and sexual activity from dawn to sunset.

Older, chronically ill and the mentally ill are exempt from fasting, although in the first two groups are expected to try to feed the poor, and not.
People who travel long distances will not have to fast – and not pregnant women and lactating mothers and those who at the time of menstruation.
During Ramadan Muslims ask forgiveness for past sins, pray for guidance on new issues, and ask for help, refusing to everyday “evil”.
They must perform their religious duties with more zeal than usual, and reflect on the teachings of Islam.
The participation of Muslims try to read the entire Qur’an during the month of Ramadan. They must strive to maintain pure thoughts and to avoid obscene and irreligious and sounds.
Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan fasting period and the first day of next month, which is called Shawwal.
When the post is over, celebrations are held and Muslims go to mosques in their best clothes, to say the first prayers of Eid.
Later, they give gifts to children and to congratulate friends and family. Food donated to the poor and the feast is held in the evening.
