Rolland was inspired by Daniel Widrig’s work during this Spring/Summer 2010 season.
You might know the famous fabulous work of this architect from London and you might know the products, furniture and sculpture and the other objects which are introduced by him through his great architectural abilities.
However Widrig’s work always have unique quality and a new evaluation for example; a simple object like a vase can be converted through fluid architectural shapes into a design or shape similar to that of a spaceship rather than a simple designed object.
The shoes also called to mind, especially in their silhouettes and surfaces, the furniture designed by Eileen Gray for the legendary Rue de Lota apartment, and Jean-Michel Frank’s most exquisite pieces.
