Black History Month 2010

Black history Month is celebrating for Africans. The 2nd month of 2010 , February is dedicated to black people. Black History Month will be celebrated in the United States and Canada. This is a great decision but i cant understand, with this celebration can white people give the real respect for black people?the United Kingdom will also have its Black History Month celebration in the month of October 2010. Black History Month is an annual event to commemorate African people.

There is a need to respect them as a human beings. White people of America and Canada always degraded them and their are lot of examples where they are treating as lower creation as like not human. what are some of Black History Month Facts? Black History Month originated in 1926 by historian Carter G. Woodson as it was called “Negro History Week” at that time. Woodson chose the second week of February because it marked the birthdays of two Americans who greatly influenced the lives and social condition of African Americans: former President Abraham Lincoln and abolitionist and former slave Frederick Douglass.
