An English Artist Florence Henderson:Florence Henderson was an English artist active as a book illustrator throughout the first three decades of the 20th Century. Her art was influenced by the British Fairy School. Her first major commission appears to have been an extensive suite of color and monotone illustrations prepared for The Dream Peddler published in 1914. Anderson received further substantial commissions throughout the decade that followed, including major suites of color and monotone illustrations.
Anderson was also known as Mrs. S. S. Anderson. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 11, 1874. She was appreciated for her paintings of the Southwest area around El Paso, TX. Native American Indian pueblos were a favorite.
She was a pupil of The Art Institute of Chicago, Alice Mitchell, Elmer L. Boone, Berla Emeree and Leola Freeman.
She was a member of the Hoosier Salon Patron’s Association and the Texas Fine Arts Association.
She has proved herself as a very good painter and has a very good fame in the field of Art. Everyone knows her about her artistic and mind blowing work. Florence has fame by her artistic mind and also recognized by her husband. She is very active and hardworking lady and always looking for new things and ideas. She wants something new and want to give the people new world a new life style by her art.
